Reservations for 5 but only 2 show up?

I have a question about ADR's. What if we have reservations for 5 people but in the end we don't have everyone there? There's a possibility that my MIL might skip out on some meals and go back to the hotel with the kids. Will it be okay if just DH and I show up? Of course I'm not talking for any of the signature restaurants... just some smaller ones... TIA!

It is fine to show up with less people when you check in. As long as it isn't a prepay meal such as CRT. (in which you are charged for the people who do not show no questions asked).

Many people show up with less, people get sick, tired, etc. So it will be ok. Just let them know when you check in that a few of your party canceled.
