We, a group of 8, were planning on staying at a hotel through our timeshare (Dolphin Cove) for just over $100/night - 3 bedroom/2 bath suite. June 26th-30.

Well, we call just like we did last year at this time and everything's booked up. Grrrrr. Obviously, we won't get anything anywhere near that price for the quality. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm about to have a breakdown here :( We have to stay under $200ish per night, depending on the breakdown. Problem is, we need at least 3 different sleeping areas for the various couples. Aggghhh....

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. We'll have access to a car, so driving won't be a problem.

Have you tried Priceline.com? I've just looked up www.biddingfortravel.com (a cheat sheet to using Priceline) and saw that there have been accepted bids for the Hyatt Orange County and Doubletree Orange County/Anaheim for around your dates for $45-$55/night.

Before you use Priceline, make sure you learn how to use Priceline properly (see the FAQ sheet in biddingfortravel.com), and understand that you can't choose your resort and that there is no cancellation option.

Good luck!
