Reservations can now be modified keeping orginal rate on Alamo website!

And it was time! I don't know if someone has reported this yet, but I'm so happy that I don't care to double post!

I haven't bought yet my return flight for my Sept-Oct trip, and whether I came back on Sunday or Monday depended on the car rental, because the rate I booked last January had increased quite a lot. I was decided to call in this week, but this morning I went on the Website, just for fun, and saw that if you modify your reservation, it keeps the rate you booked at (yay!), and just adjust according to you new times. On Step 2, it shows a ridiculously high total rate (much higher than just a new reservation), but on Step 3 it is adjusted to the original rate with modifications! For a few dollars more, I can get my Monday return.

As they would adjust this on the phone most of the time, I think it will just save them some many calls!

Thank you so much for posting this! I've been trying to change my pick up day and time and the rate was so much higher than when I originally booked and I was able to do it today after reading your post.

Thanks for posting. I'll have to take a look to see if I can modify my August rental now. My days keep changing but I wouldn't cancel my rental until I buy my airfare. I have an excellent rental for a minivan in August and maybe I'll get to keep it now.

Are there any good coupons out there for August? I tried one that is suppose to be good for August, but the website says it isn't (AD2338FDF).

I just tried to do this for our upcoming LAX July rental . . . .didn't work. Increased the price over $200.
