Reservations at home resort BW, but want to stay at OKW

Please advise. Our home resort is BW, but we want to get a grand villa at OKW next May because the points are so much less. Can I make the reservations at BW since right now is our 11 month window, but then call at the 7 month window and switch to OKW? That way if OKW doesn't work out, I still have a reservation. Another option would be to switch from the grand villa at BW to 2 - 2 bedroom homes.

You have the right idea...making the reservation at your home resort just in case OKW is not available.

Yes, you could switch to two two-bedroom units, if the two-bedroom units are available.

Try the rent/trade board. There are always members out there who would like to try another resort (OKW owner who would like BWV) and you might be able to help each other out at the 11 month window and both end up with what your looking for!

hmmmmm...

great idea Peggy Sue. And I always thought the rent/trade board was for renting/trading a few extra points. But the thought of finding someone to swap an entire vacation at the 11 month window instead of booking at your home resort at 11 months and changing at 7 months is intriguing.

I will gladly make the switch for you. I can make the reservation at the Old Key West Resort Grand Villa and then you can either make the equivalent reservation for me or transfer the Boardwalk poionts to my account.
