Are reservations at CRT and 1900 Park Fare Cinderella overkill? Trying to plan our first family trip for my two little princesses (3 and 6). Also, are the character differences noticeable? Thanks. :)

Not at all! Unless you don't wanna either spend $$ or use your credits there.

But if you're into character meals, both of those are wonderful. The only character I think they share is Cinderella, anyway. Er, maybe Alice? But I don't think she's at the castle.

CRT is mostly princesses but the breakfast and lunch at 1900 has Alice, the Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins (maybe Tigger too) too. And if you have the dinner at 1900, you get Lady Tremaine (Cinderella's step-mother) and Anastasia and Drizella, the ugly step-sisters, and the Prince too.

They're both very different experiences, and I really like the buffet at 1900. I hear the breakfast at CRT is the best bet now, for food quality there.

I now do a breakfast and dinner meal at 1900 plus a breakfast at CRT during my trip.

Do them both. They are different experiences and well worth it in my opinion. We have done both on our vacation when my daughter was younger and she was amazed at both.

We did both and Akerhus, Crystal Palace and Tusker House last trip....SO NO!

We did dinner at both and enjoyed both. CRT is princesses only. 1900 Park Fare dinner is Cinderella's family. On the same trip, we also did Akershus (princesses again).

Thanks so much everyone! I've been going crazy trying to figure out which ADRs to get.

How about CTR and Akershus? Are the same characters at both? How do the food and interaction compare? :)

Nearly the same characters are at CRT and Akershus. Though there might be 1 or 2 different characters, maybe. I have heard the Fairy Godmother can be present at CRT but I must say I have never seen her at any of the tables in the lunches or dinners I've had there - I've seen her outside the castle taking pictures though.

Basically between the 2 of them, you will get to meet, Cinderella, Belle, Alice, Ariel, Aurora, Snow White, maybe Jasmine? I know I met Jasmine in the castle once.

Also, I rather enjoy seeing the different actresses play them - I just get a kick out of it, because everyone plays them differently and has a different personality of course.

I've had good experiences with the princesses at both locations. They might spend a little more time with you in Norway, as the Castle can get busy, but I never felt shortchanged. Sometimes, as I'm a solo traveler, they even joined me at my table! Ariel did that once and I was delighted.

I enjoy the Norwegion food, myself, so I always go for lunch or dinner, but I believe the breakfast is Americanized. The lunch and dinner at CRT can be...iffy, even so-so, but the breakfast there has been much improved from what I'm hearing. Not sure if they improved the rest of the meals there.

We're doing 1900 Park Fare, CRT and Akershus (all for dinner) next trip ;) We have 2 little girls (who will turn 3 and 1 a week after our trip) and our oldest LOVES princesses.

We did just CRT our oldest's first trip (and other character meals). 1900 Park Fare and Akershus the 2nd trip. And now all 3 this time.

We're also doing Hollywood & Vine, Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace. We're a character meal family.

As others have said, they are different experiences, so I don't think it's overkill to do them both.

Thanks everyone for all of the helpful comments!! As of now, I have a dinner ADR for CTR mid Nov, and will be on the lookout for the others!! :)
