We have our ADRs all set for our trip. There are a few places that my husband and son wanted to go but there is nothing I will eat (picky eater). So since we have the ADRs do they automatically charge me for a meal if I am not eating? I need the credit to get food before or after.

You checked all the menus for all the places you are going? I ask because I too am a picky eater who is extremely stomach sensitive.

I have eaten at most park locations and some resport locations and have been able to find something. Even if they make me a plain peice of meat with a plain vegetable.

Where are some of the places you have your ADR's?

Also, if they use your meal credit from DDP may depend if it is a buffet. :)

Yes, especially if it's a buffet. Not sure about a table service if you only order a drink and pay OOP.

If you are at a buffet or an all you can eat family style restaurant, everyone at the table over age 3 is charged whether they eat or not.

As for the a la carte places, it's likely you'd be allowed to not order food there.

Would you all then go to another restaurant to use your credit, and your husband and son get nothing while you eat? Make sure you don't pick buffets or family styles then, either.

You are on the regular dining, correct? (1 TS, 1 CS, 1 Snack credit) CS & TS credits aren't really interchangable, so if you will not be eating at a TS restaraunt, you will have an extra TS credit, but if you don't have an ADR somewhere else, that won't really help you. Unless you will be trying to eat alone elsewhere, as a walk-up, while your DH & DS do something else?

I will say though, that most TS restaraunts are very accomodating about altering menu items to suit different tastes, either changing the side dishes, or making elaborate dishes simpler, by leaving off any exotic spices or sauces. I have even heard of people ordering off of the children's menu, but getting a larger portion, for their adult TS credit.

Where are the ADR's that you may have issue with the menu? What sorts of things will you & will you not eat? Maybe the folks here can make some suggestions? We're a pretty helpful bunch.

Mainly the Princess Storybook Dining. Everywhere else I can find something. I printed out all the menus for where we were eating to put in my travel notebook so I can plan ahead on what I can eat. Yes, I am that picky and need game plan.

We have deluxe dining so it isn't a problem with the allocation of TS, CS, etc.

Unfortunately my pickiness (LOL!) has no rhyme or reason. But I don't eat seafood at all and I am weird about sauces.

We do have one buffet that I am not sure about at Boma but they have kids options (spagehtti, chicken, etc) so I will be okay.

Thank you for all your help!

I don't think Akershus counts as an a la carte. Although you order off a menu it's considered a family style.

You may need to ask them to make something plain for you.

You can get something plain made for you at any WDW TS restaurant, I'm sure. No need to sit and not eat while your husband and having dinner.

WDW restaurants are very used to serving picky eaters, and you can get most dishes modified to your taste. Sauces can be left off, sides can be substituted or made plain. Would you be able to have a plain steak and a plain baked potato, or perhaps some fries as a side? If it came to that, you could even order from the kids menu, if you'd prefer chicken fingers or mac & cheese.

The buffets have a wide variety of foods, and they all have a section with kid-friendly foods that anyone may eat.

I'm pretty sure, that since it is a prix fix meal, you can't just sit with your family & not get charged a meal credit. But, on the other hand, check out the kids meal choices, you may be able to find something there that will suit. I was thinking along the lines of grilled chicken breast or pasta with meatballs. I'm sure if you discuss it with your server, you can probably come up with something that you'd be happy with.:goodvibes

They have a Pasta Akershus - I'm SURE they can make you just plain pasta; plus there's all that stuff on the buffet.
