Reservations after park closes?

i am looking into making reservations in animal kingdom for one of the African places but the times they gave me were after closing. We are staying offsite. Is the restaurants open after the park closes? Do I need to be careful of what time I schedule due to staying at a non Disney resort and not having extended hours?

You can make the reservation for after park closing even if you are staying off site, but you must be in the park before closing.

Are the restaurants you are trying to make reservations for in the Animal Kingdom park, or the Animal Kingdom Lodge?

I think it was the lodge, I was mistaken about location. But it's good to know.
