Reservation using developer point showing on dvcmember.com

My direct purchase from Disney is still in the works. I do not think we have "officially" closed because they have not sent me a recorded title yet. We are paying cash and I overnighted the paperwork back to Disney a 1 1/2 weeks ago. I called MS and booked a vacation for this May using the developer points and 07 points. Looking at vacation detail on dvdmember.com I cannot see my reservation. When I called last week to MS they said they are backed up with the manual process of using developer points and the room is on hold but no confirmation number yet. When I look at the point detail I can see where they used my point to make the reservation.

My question is will my reservation # and info every show up on the web site. Not sure if this is a developer points issues or new purchase issues or both.

I am waiting to cancel other reservations that I have at Disney until I see the info for myself.

We are in a similar situation. We made a reservation using the Developer points and some of the 07 points last week. Our account reflected the 07 points used, but the reservation did not show.

We decided to extend the trip and spend a few extra days at another DVC resort so I called and made that reservation a couple days later. When I did that they were able to give me the confirmation for both trips.

My understanding is that we probably won't see the confirmation for the trip made with Developer points online. The second reservation is showing and our remaining point total is correct.

You could try calling MS and see if they have a confirmation number in the system yet.

Developer points and developer point reservations do not appear on-line. Any transactions made with developer points are processed outside the system and will take a few days to complete.

Thanks for the info it will now save me 5 minutes each day from checking the web site to see if it is there. I guess I will now have to wait for the paper reservation that will take 3 weeks?

BTW Is the DVC member website running on an apple IIe Based on all the problems I hear about you would think this would not be that hard. Could they not treat the developer points as a transfer and put them in when you make the booking.

They keep the points separate because they are not really points. They are the developer letting you have access to rooms in the resort not available to members with points. They are not in the normal DVC inventory. That's why you can't bank or borrow them.

Since I had the extra developer points I went ahead and invited my parents to join us and got a 2br over July 4th weekend plus a few more days. They had to use some of my points in addition to the Developer points. The ressie does not show up on the web site and the regular points they used show up as a "Manual Adjustment". I called yesterday to add on one more day and they had no problem locating the reservation. They booked the extra day as a separate reservation and linked the two so we will not have to move.
