Reservation times Cinderella Royal Table

I am a little confused. I know you can make advanced reservations for some restaurants before the parks open, but how do you know what times they start? If the park opens at 9 do they start reservations and hour earlier? I don't know when a good time to go would be. I see people suggesting to go before the park opens. The main one I am thinking about is the royal table, but might consider others.

I know the first time at CP in the MK is 8:05, so I am thinking that CRT is around that same time.
I just checked the CRT menu at allearsnet.com and it says that CRT opens at 8 for breakfast. I am guessing that they have the restaurant times for all of the restaurants, so you can find hours out there.
