Reservation Question

Hi everyone,

I had a pretty basic reservation question (still a newbie.) DW want to go to Hawaii this January or February. Our preferences are February>Late Jan>Mid Jan.

I went ahead and booked a week in an studio island garden view today for mid January just to make sure we had something and are going for sure. But I have the dates in my personal outlook calendar of the dates in late Jan and Feb that are better for us. Can I go back in in a few weeks (and a few weeks after that) and cancel this reservation and make a new one? Is there an "edit" function that simply overrides the reservation?

You either have to cancel the entire reservation, then rebook with the new dates, or call MS and have them 'shift' the dates. No edit feature on line.

Perfect, and I can do all that cancelling without a penalty?

Cancellation penalties apply within 30 days of arrival. Just be aware, if you have a February use year, that you'll have to bank points to use them for a February trip. If you have any other use year, then the points should already be valid for February. Hopefully you didn't borrow any points for this reservation.
