Reservation question

I have still not booked flights for my trip in April...If I have a room ressie and I have to amend does this affect any discounts that have been applied? Its more likely I will be reducing days? TIA

It shouldn't unless you move the reservation to a date where the discounts are not applicable, or there is a minimum stay for the discount to apply (such as free dining or Stay Play and Dine requiring a minimum 3 night stay).

Disney seems to be cracking down on people modifying reservations.

So, your rate may possibly be affected.

I think they are saying that the new reservation must be available for you to make the changes (even thou it seems logical that you out could just drop a day). And you could lose out on discounts if the current promo you're going with is no longer in the inventory.

Yes, I think if you have a 5 night reservation and you want to change it to a 3 night, they won't just turn your 5 night reservation into a 3 night anymore. They will check to see if there is a 3 night reservation in the inventory. If there isn't, you can't change. you would have to cancel and rebook (and what you want may not be available) because they want the full 5 nights released, not just 2 of them. So if you have a package and you are doing any of this within 45 days, you have to be careful. Also, you might lose a timed discount if it has since expired.
