reservation question

I'm considering buying into the DVC with my home resort being the WL. My closing would occur in late Feb. early March. To celebrate I'd like to treat my extended family (12 in all) to a trip in early May. In your expert opinions, do you think I could get DVC reservations (like 4 studios, 2-2BR, or whatever combination works) when booking in March? All the reservations don't need to be at the WL. We'd be willing to split up and go to different DVC resorts. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Are you buying from Disney or resale?

If Disney, see if your guide will help you get reservations when you commit to the purchase. We did that and it was a nice way to start off with DVC.

If it is a resale, I am not sure, but I think you have to wait until Disney records the transaction and sends you member numbers. That takes longer.

hi if there are going to be 12 of you , you could get a grand villa at OKW which sleeps 12.

Perhaps.... if you are very flexible on dates. From reading this board, I have seen stranger things happen. I think it would be a great idea to have rooms at multiple DVCs, as you could experience them all at once!

May doesn't seem to be one of the busy, busy times, so there's reason to be hopeful. We got a 1 BR at OKW on 10 days notice last year. Good luck on your purchase and the reservations!
