"Reservation Points" are NOT good at ANY DVC resort, BWI, BC, WL, Swan, Dolphin or Value Resort at WDW.

Be sure to compare prices available directly thru Disney, as point needs at these non-DVC resorts are much higher than at DVC resorts for similar accommodations.

What exactly ARE reservation points? Inquiring minds want to know!

Have you ever rented points out before?

Reservation Points are DVC points used for any non-DVC reservation. As soon as that reservation is made by the member, the points are committed to a non-DVC use and are used by Disney for cash rental of DVC accommodations to "pay" for the non-DVC reservation. (Examples would be points used for the Disney Cruise Line or for a stay at the Polynesian or even Disneyland Hotel.)

If that non-DVC reservation is later cancelled, the points are returned to the member to use, but only as "Reservation Points" - meaning they may only be used for non-DVC reservations since they have already been committed for use at DVC resort by DVC itself.

There is nothing wrong with Reservation Points, but their usage is certainly limited.

My brother is short I beleive 11 points.
I am not familiar with this whole deal at all but....
His points are short on the cruise and if I read the explanation provided here about "reservation points" it appears these would work fine for him.
If you are willing to sell him 11 please reply here or pm me or email me at deegoofy@email.com.
Thanks Take Care
Dee

From what Doc has said, you cannot use these at any of the DVC resorts including the villas (Beach Club villas, Boardwalk villas, Wilderness Lodge villas, or Old Key West Villas or the resorts attached to these villas Beach Club, Wilderness Lodge, Boardwalk Inn). I'd love to rent some of these points but sorry, this guy seems to be kind of elusive, evasive (take your pick on words).

They may be used for the Disney Cruise Line and also at the GF, Poly, Contemporary, Yacht Club, AKL, FW, CBR, CSR and PO.

Be sure to compare prices available directly thru Disney, as point needs at these non-DVC resorts are much higher than at DVC resorts for similar accommodations.

It looks as if you are selling points for $5/per point. Can you let me know if this is correct or not.

Thank you!
:D

Do you have any information on how many points it would take for any specific resorts? Just to give us an idea...

Once again, since the OP has omitted some important information about these points. Here is an explanation of how they may be used:
