I have called every morning since tuesday, and keep getting told NO for next October. Specifically, "the campground availability has not been loaded yet." Is there some hint or trick or something I am not doing to get my reservation? Is anyone else having problems with next year? HELP PLEASE!

No help is possible. Until the dates are loaded in the system, you can't reserve them.

BTW, what dates are you looking for? You can only make reservations 500 days before your check OUT date. Using this rule I am guessing you are looking for late October into early November, which is more than 500 days out. But, this is just a guess on my part.

Mine are made for the 13th till the 24th. The preferred loops aren't up yet, but I was able to book a full for now.

Your check out date as of today is 495 days out, so it's within the 500 day window. I would suspect all the sites for those dates will be open soon.

The other issue that may be holding things up is the new pricing policy. If indeed FW is going to fall under this plan also, they may need to change things in the system.

Okay, thank you. I just got so upset. They told me they could put me in a cabin, but not a campsite. And I could book for Oct 24th, but not the 26th. I was hoping that didn't mean it was booked solid. We are so looking forward to this trip, it will be our first time camping. I'll just keep trying.

Just figure 500 days before your check out date. Like if you are looking to check out November 1 you should be able to call on the 18th (or is it the 19th ) Well, you get the idea...

Annd don't worry if they don't have preferred, if that's what you want....because they just aren't out yet!! Just book what you can then you only have to adjust the reservation later on w/o going through the whole process over again.

This morning I am told they are having issues with the computer system. i am on hold forever, and they finally come back on and say, they are ""having a systems enhancement"" adn to try later this afternoon. So do we think this means a ""Price enhancement""????

It is about that time of year. June/July should be when the 2008 season dates and pricing are released. It's really not a surprise, the prices go up every year at this time.

Oh yes, I talked to the same person about four times in that half hour. But they kept apologizing and asking me to hold on just a little longer. Then, they asked for my phone number again, and they called me back so I wasn't paying for the call and went another 27 minutes. The saturday night is not open, but they can't see why. There are not 700 reservations in the system already, but they can't reserve a spot for that night.
I am thinking it has to do with the new pricing that may be coming but I could be wrong. Don't quote me for heavens sake! Sun through thursday was fine and they gave me the choice of taking those days and trying to call back everyday and adjust or just waiting a few days and trying again. Uh hello, I'll take what I can get and go from there. They were super nice though, and just as confused as the rest of us.

Glad you got something. You know what I think our problem is? We think too much and we book too soon. We should be like those people who book the last minute and get what they want w/o a worry : )

I think you hit the nail on the head there. Campground reservations aren't really as hard as some people imply. I still can't figure out why some have so much trouble making reservations, except maybe the times they are trying to get and maybe some lack of flexibility. Just out of curiosity, I checked to see if any sites were available for my times this October, and there are still partial and full hookup sites available.

That's my point..you are looking for this October and have no problem. We just plan too far ahead and Disney isn't up to our speed so we get annoyed and worried! I've looked as far as 2 months out and always had availability both at the campsites and the cabins. So we just have to stop planning

Actually, I've had my reservations for quite some time. My point was that even 120 days out from my reservations, sites are still available, so don't listen to those who insist the campground is full and you have to reserve over a year in advance, unless you are looking for Christmas or Thanksgiving or some other holiday period.

I have also seen that reservations that split a weekend like this on that is starting Saturday without the preceding Friday are sometimes "unavailable". But, if you include the extra days, like adding thurs/fri to the reservation the dates are now available.

If that is ever the case just book the longer reservation and call back later and cancel the unneeded days.

Thanks for the encouragement that I will be able to get a site. I am so excited to be going back next year that I just can't help but want to do it all today! I will call back at the end of the week and try using the friday date if it still won't take the weekend. I'll keep ya posted!
