PROBLEM----I REALLY HAD NOOOO CLUE THAT EVERYTHING WAS BOOKED IN ADVANCED UP TO 1 YEAR DURING THANKSGIVING!!!! OH MY LORD!!!! OK PANIC SETS IN. OK EVERY HOUR I CALL DISNEY FOR A VILLA ANYWHERE WITH A KITCHEN. BOOKED,BOOKED,BOOKED EVERYTIME I CALL. OK I START SWEATIN!!! I CALLED AND GOT A ROOM AT THE OLD KEY WEST VACATION CLUB 1 BEDROOM VILLA....... I HAVE SEEN THE PICTURES ONLINE BUT WAS WONDERING:

1) HAS ANYONE BEEN AT THAT SPECIFIC VILLAS????

I WAS THINKING THAT SOMEONE HAS TO HAVE RESERVED A BUNCH OF ROOMS THEN SELL THEM ONLINE BUT CANT FIND THEM?????

WE REALLY WANTED THE FORT WILDERNESS CABINS BUT IF ANYONE HAS STAYED IN THE VILLAS AT OLD KEY WEST, ARE THE KITCHENS BIG?
HOW WAS YOUR STAY???

THANKS EVERYONE FOR FEEDBACK! princess:

We stayed at a 1BR with another family years ago and it was HUGE, in fact I think sq. footage wise it is the biggest Timeshare WDW has. DH & I stayed in the Master BR while our friends and their baby son with a crib slept in the TV room which was enormous. We never heard a peep out of them our entire stay and they aren't exactly quiet folks and DH isn't exactly a sound sleeper. They are absolutely beautiful, spotless and sit upon one of WDW's golf courses so its quiet and restful too. You'll be thrilled, don't worry.

I have stayed in Old Key West, and it is wonderful, I was in a 2br villa but one bedroom are just as big, the kitchen is big and the living room also... it's the biggest villas at Disney... you can't go wrong. enjoy yourself and relax, it's beautiful there... ;)

You could always rent a vacation home off property. There are a lot of reputable companies that do this.

We've done 2 extended family trips to WDW. For the first we all stayed at an off site timeshare property that has bigger units than WDW, and the jacuzzi tubs are twice the size of OKW. The 2nd time we stayed off site in the same timeshare property, and the others got 2 rooms at CS but booked using our AP's for a discount and put our names on their ressies. Thus, we all got EMH (that we used only once), and although they paid extra to have extra adults booked in their rooms, they still saved over $200. Their rooms weren't booked until Oct. of that year, btw, and there were rooms at several resorts still available. I would compare off site to on and then would continue trying for availability at FW if that's what you really want. Good Luck!
