I called to reserve a room at HRH for November...had them check for best available with various discounts...none for HRH for my dates...but Portofino yes....My kids are really looking forward to staying at HR....I had made up my mind that if I were to have to pay rack rate...that I would stay club level. Anyway...after going through all the different options...I decide on getting the package w/ 2 adult tickets...while the wonderful CSM had me on hold..I was looking up on loews hotels website to make sure that I was getting a good price....it was 339 per night...then I noticed that if you stay 4 nights you get 20% off...but this was without tickets.
So, I tell this to the nice CSM and she said that it doesn't show up on her things to offer me. She even pulls up the website and sees that I can get the same room for 271 per night without the tickets...which ends up saving me 300...I'll still have to buy the tickets...which then only saves me 100...but that is still another ticket. She even talks to a supervisor and for some reason this deal is not coming up and they could not match their own website. She even agreed that it was strange because normally they can match their own website.
Anyway...we canceled all that hard work..I kept apologizing to this nice CSM...because it would be a better deal for me to book online...she was very understanding. I even talked to her supervisor to let her know how wonderful this lady was and how she spent so much time with me...and then I found out that when they receive a compliment their name goes into a drawing for prizes. So...if you have wonderful service...please don't forget to ask for a supervisor after you are done.
Oh yeah...I made the reservation online...then called after because they don't ask about kids online...wanted to make sure everything was okay...and that CSM said that they normally offer that promotion and didn't understand why my nice CSM couldn't offer it to me...but said that my reservation was fine...added the kids(they are working on adding that feature to the website)...and made a note of mine and my daughter's bday while there.
