Hi,

I have just managed to get an Ogas Cantina Res for 1pm but my starting park that day is DCA ... Do you think I would be able to make it over since they don't let you park hop until after 1pm? Would they kindly let me through 5 mins before 1 or is their a grace period so that if I entered at 1pm then I would just be a bit late.

Any advice is appreciated.

I would say, be at the turnstiles early for the 1pm park hop. Perhaps if you ask nice and show your reservation they might let you through, but probably not. I think there is a 15 minute grace period, just don't check into your reservation until you are close to Oga's.

There is usually a 15 min grace period, so you should be ok. But I’d be at the turnstile, ready to go through at 1pm.

Because of the GPS on your phone, it won’t let you check-in for your reservations until you are in close proximity to the restaurant. If you are too far away it will let you know.

I agree, get to the turnstiles ahead of time and ask a CM if you can go through early after showing your reservations. If you can’t, just go through at 1 and head straight over. Either way you should be ok since they usually allow about a 15 minute grace period as was pointed out.

Disney is very tolerant indeed of people who are late for restaurant reservations. In over thirty years, never once have we been turned away for being late, sometimes quite a bit later than 15 minutes late.

That's nice to hear, but they should turn away guests if they are extremely late (small grace period is ok).

Just in case other guests see replies like yours and assume reservation time's are meaningless.

Just curious, what are the lines like at Disneyland to get in at 1? Are they crazy long every day or do people trickle in?

They haven't seemed too bad, maybe 5 or 10 minutes.

A couple times I went the lines actually going from Disneyland to DCA were longer. I think more guests pick 'Disneyland' as starting park for rope drop/Rise/etc... and then 1pm DCA.

It's a shame if there was one even a tiny bit later I would have gone for it but this was all I could get in the afternoon. I guess Ill just power walk over there once I'm through the gate 🤣 I will be panicking though I really don't want to miss out. I would try and swap the parks round but that won't work due to other dinner plans.

Thanks for the tips about checking in , I didn't know you had to do this via the app. Does it often take long after that point? Do you have to do this for all dining locations?

After 1:00 PM you can park hop as much as you want so switching your starting park shouldn’t affect your dinner plans.

When I was there in September we had reservations for Oga’s Cantina at 1:45 and after checking in we had to wait about 10-15 minutes to be called and then another 5-10 minutes after that.
