New owner question and I don't want to sound foolish when I call member services.

I currenty have 2 reservations for April 2010 since we were traveling with friends who were renting the points off of me. They canceled.

Here is the info:
Dec Use year
April 2010 reservation
1 reservation made with banked 2009 points and 2010 points.
1 reservation made with borrowed 2011 points.

Can I cancel both reservations and then book a reservation with the banked 2009 points and borrowed 2011 points, then leaving my 2010 points free to move to 2011 if I want to.

Just trying to figure my options. FYI- I realize I would risk losing my orignally booked room and may be forced somewhere else, but I am OK with that. As long as I am at Disney, my world is good.

TIA

Yes, you can cancel both reservations and make a new reservation. When you make the new reservation, you can tell MS to use your banked points and borrowed points first, and save the 2010 UY points. If you don't use all your banked '09 points and/or borrowed '11 points, remember that you'll have until November 30, 2010 to use those points.

Good Luck!

Actually I had my years on the banking and borrowing wrong but wdrl knew what I was trying to say.

2008 banked into 2009 and borrowed from 2010. December Use year thows me for a loop since it is at the end of the year.

Thanks wdrl. I will call tomorrow to see what I can do.

Rather than cancel, why not ask if you can cancel one ressie and have the points reallocated for the other so it uses only the banked and borrowed points?

You shouldn't have any problems!!

I also wanted to say "hi"!!!! We are from Racine, born and raised. We moved to Minneapolis almost 5 years ago, but all of my family is still in Racine. :goodvibes

OMG! You moved farther North!! How could you. I moved to Wisconsin from Kentucky 15 years ago and I haven't adjusted to the cold yet.

I didn't know I could do that. I'll have to ask about that. I haven't called yet.

I'm still trying to convince my husband to move south, but as you can see...no such luck. :rolleyes1
