Can an added resale be added to the original master UY or does it always remain seperate?

If they have the same Use Year, resales can be added to an existing Master contract - provided the names on the deed are identical to the Master and DVC is aware of the situation.

In the past, DVC has sometimes automatically added the resale to the original Master (under the conditions mentioned above) - but sometimes the resale went thru as a separate contract. If adding the resale to your existing Master is desired, I'd let Member Accounting know about the resale well before closing so they can modify the paperwork accordingly.

If the master has a June UY, then a resale with a Dec UY is added, can the Dec UY contract be added to the original June UY so that they both have the same June UY?

No, it can only be set up as an "add on" to your master contract if it has the same UY and is titled exactly the same as your master contract.

If your master contract has a June UY and you purchase a Dec UY contract on the resale market, it will be set up as a new master contract (with a Dec UY) with its own contract number and you will get another membership number to go with it.
