I'm talking about the giant wooden (?) ones that are bolted open at an angle, while you walk through conventional sliding glass doors.

We went last trip in April, we walked over from Boardwalk and ate at Beaches and Cream.

I love beach club as well, and probably would have bought it over BWV if I could get them at the same price. But I only found a deal on BWV and I couldn't bring myself to pay $30 more per point for BCV when it's basically next door and they are already tough to want to buy into since they both expire in 2042

We are not buying BLT now or ever

As Im sure many of you suspected I am spoiled rotten so I am probably going to add on at BWV but since I really did love CCV I am in no rush. I have to find a great deal and it has to have extra points or I won’t buy it.

I really think having 11 month access to MK area and CL area is key in order for me to love our trips. 100 home resort pts at WDW was never enough when all 6 of us visit.

My original thought was to sell 100 pts CCV and buy 150 at BLT or BWV. I will be keeping an eye out for a BWV in the 100 pts range.

I was leaning this way but the points you all made here about the CCV point chart really solidified that choice for me. I liked CCV alot. The boat ride to MK was great. Since I had to think about comparing CCV to BLT selling CCV to buy BLT made no sense at all. BLT needed to knock it out of the park and it didn’t. If it had a better theme park view point chart we would’ve felt differently.

I you tubed some BCV videos and I cant believe I am going to say this but somehow the artwork at BWV completely and utterly sold me. If BCV didn’t have the generic beach photos I could’ve been turned. That in addition to never being able to have a boardwalk view from there. I have not broken t his news to my son. He dreams of SAB even though he has never been.

I did concede that I will also watch for BCV and if a perfect deal comes up there I will be persuaded.

My husband was trying real hard to make a case for BLT because of that 2nd bathroom. At this point in the trip I was really thinking heavily about Poly due to the 2nd bathroom and how thats why my husband liked BLT and the Poly rooms are very nice. This is when I had to decide go to OKW or go see Poly again. We were in line to boat over to Poly and my husband says “no, I don’t like Poly” I asked why and he says he doesn’t know why he just doesn’t. He did say the Tower was too far disconnected from the main hall and transportation.
I was prepared to make a small case for Poly, because this trip really really solidified for me the importance of direct points. Why? When I saw Lakeshore Lodge! Anyway I had my point charts printed to make my case for Poly and I realized Poly is only good if we wanted studios and we don’t. The points for 1 and 2 beds is just insane. Although I like nice things and that Penthouse But no I have to be reasonable so no Poly for us.


Now back to LL. I never thought that LL would be something Id care to entertain. But my husband saw the A-Frames and I saw his face light up. We also really like the idea of FT Wilderness but don’t know if we would ever stay in a Cabin there. So we plan to try to visit CCV next November/December to experience it during the holidays. Previously I said I wouldn’t be going to WDW during this time of year but I have been turned. Now I wont be going to FL in May-Mid Sept. Even if it’s free at you MM. After next Christmas time we all should know more about LL. If DVD doesn’t pull some crazy cabin dues nonsense we may consider selling CCV at that point for LL and possibly some of our other points to buy there.


Some other tidbits of info from my mind.

To be honest my CCV contract was a phenomenal choice and I have all of you to thank for that, I learned so much here on the boards while making my purchase that I made a wise decision and bought there even though the price per point was no SSR. This is my little workhorse contract and I have used it to stay so many places but if I had to stay at CCV due to rule changes or no availability elsewhere I would be perfectly happy. I used to think I could stay at SSR or OKW if thats all that was left. No. I would just not go to WDW if those were my only options. I used to think I could do a resort only stay there. No. They are the resorts of no resort for me. I love that others love those two resorts, but I am glad that I got to see them before committing to a stay there or gosh forbid own there.


I am very fortunate that I had the ability to take this trip. I learned so much. This trip will very much help all my future trips be more successful and not as stressful. I will know how to get places, where I don’t want to go where to do want go and the resort I stay at I will know what I am getting myself into.

Oh and I did the math for how much the low point chart saves us over time at BWV vs BLT. Tried to guesstimate value of BWV in the future and in the end I will spend more to be at BWV but not as much as you'd think since the point chart is so good. I am really gambling on DVD throwing current owners a bone for whatever happens in 2042, but thats for another thread I suppose.

Congrats on closing! I didnt touch on RIV in my post. The 3 places to get coffee was speaking to my coffee loving soul! The pools weren't busy and kids playing Bocce Ball all so good!

Bingo, thats what I got from your posts as far as your choice

You seemed to really like CCV and you already own there. It's good you saw other things and won't have any second thoughts now! Totally think you may swap it for LSL in the future because its going to be shiny and new with a lazy river.

Sometimes I think I should even wait to see how that one looks even though the theme for right now doesnt interest me you never know! I also feel like Poly is going to be a no for us as we have no interest in studios either, crazy crowds and super high point charts.

At the current pace, Riviera may be sold out before im actually ready to pull the trigger. Im not willing to give up my 250 point SSR SAP, my favorite BLT and my wife would be pissed to get rid of AKV. I suppose these are good problems to have

i have been hoping for that 5th sleeper for 2 years! But I've been told by a broker that previously sold DVC direct that it'll never happen b/c of occupancy regulations in the main building. Of course she can be wrong, but it does make sense.

It really did. Our next stay is at CCV end of August for MM unless I cancel because the heat was no joke. Hopefully we will get to experience a refurbished room and I bet my son will love the pool and playing pool too.

Once you start delving into point charts and location then BWV is clearly the best all round value at WDW

That is amazing. AKV value rooms are very hard to beat.

So we settled on an our choice.

We will be keeping CCV.

We are not buying BLT now or ever

As Im sure many of you suspected I am spoiled rotten so I am probably going to add on at BWV but since I really did love CCV I am in no rush. I have to find a great deal and it has to have extra points or I won’t buy it.

I really think having 11 month access to MK area and CL area is key in order for me to love our trips. 100 home resort pts at WDW was never enough when all 6 of us visit.

My original thought was to sell 100 pts CCV and buy 150 at BLT or BWV. I will be keeping an eye out for a BWV in the 100 pts range.

I was leaning this way but the points you all made here about the CCV point chart really solidified that choice for me. I liked CCV alot. The boat ride to MK was great. Since I had to think about comparing CCV to BLT selling CCV to buy BLT made no sense at all. BLT needed to knock it out of the park and it didn’t. If it had a better theme park view point chart we would’ve felt differently.

I you tubed some BCV videos and I cant believe I am going to say this but somehow the artwork at BWV completely and utterly sold me. If BCV didn’t have the generic beach photos I could’ve been turned. That in addition to never being able to have a boardwalk view from there. I have not broken t his news to my son. He dreams of SAB even though he has never been.

I did concede that I will also watch for BCV and if a perfect deal comes up there I will be persuaded.

My husband was trying real hard to make a case for BLT because of that 2nd bathroom. At this point in the trip I was really thinking heavily about Poly due to the 2nd bathroom and how thats why my husband liked BLT and the Poly rooms are very nice. This is when I had to decide go to OKW or go see Poly again. We were in line to boat over to Poly and my husband says “no, I don’t like Poly” I asked why and he says he doesn’t know why he just doesn’t. He did say the Tower was too far disconnected from the main hall and transportation.
I was prepared to make a small case for Poly, because this trip really really solidified for me the importance of direct points. Why? When I saw Lakeshore Lodge! Anyway I had my point charts printed to make my case for Poly and I realized Poly is only good if we wanted studios and we don’t. The points for 1 and 2 beds is just insane. Although I like nice things and that Penthouse But no I have to be reasonable so no Poly for us.


Now back to LL. I never thought that LL would be something Id care to entertain. But my husband saw the A-Frames and I saw his face light up. We also really like the idea of FT Wilderness but don’t know if we would ever stay in a Cabin there. So we plan to try to visit CCV next November/December to experience it during the holidays. Previously I said I wouldn’t be going to WDW during this time of year but I have been turned. Now I wont be going to FL in May-Mid Sept. Even if it’s free at you MM. After next Christmas time we all should know more about LL. If DVD doesn’t pull some crazy cabin dues nonsense we may consider selling CCV at that point for LL and possibly some of our other points to buy there.


Some other tidbits of info from my mind.

To be honest my CCV contract was a phenomenal choice and I have all of you to thank for that, I learned so much here on the boards while making my purchase that I made a wise decision and bought there even though the price per point was no SSR. This is my little workhorse contract and I have used it to stay so many places but if I had to stay at CCV due to rule changes or no availability elsewhere I would be perfectly happy. I used to think I could stay at SSR or OKW if thats all that was left. No. I would just not go to WDW if those were my only options. I used to think I could do a resort only stay there. No. They are the resorts of no resort for me. I love that others love those two resorts, but I am glad that I got to see them before committing to a stay there or gosh forbid own there.


I am very fortunate that I had the ability to take this trip. I learned so much. This trip will very much help all my future trips be more successful and not as stressful. I will know how to get places, where I don’t want to go where to do want go and the resort I stay at I will know what I am getting myself into.

So when do you think you might try to get some BWV points exactly?

I haven't been following LL stuff at all. I think I need to check it out. Will LL be apart of the same contract as the FW cabins? I don't think I knew that.

You could always try for the BRV studio that sleeps 5 at the 7 month mark though!
But I do think it's weird that the BRV studios sleep more than their 1-bedrooms.
