Resale shopping again.. my heart wants one thing but my head says another. Give your opinions.

I rope dropped Remy’s, waited way back in the line, and then it never opened until much later that day due to technical difficulties. I rode it another trip and it turned out it gives me a headache anyway. lol.

Haven’t successfully rope dropped yet.

We had planned on Tron since we were in line at 7:45 for security and then realized can’t ride until 9am. No bueno.

Rode carousel of progress and people mover. The heat feels like it’s trying to murder me so we shopped main st (LOVE the characters in the windows, gives me old school DLR vibes) and then left. Took the boat to VGF

VGF knows how to make construction look classy! Saw someone in her wedding dress taking photos. Amazing. I’m not jealous at all.

Currently on what feels like 30 minutes on the monorail heading over to Poly. Boats are hands down my favorite mode of transport.

11:22 am no room yet.

1) Walking
2) Boat
3) Bus
4) Everything else

Only travel when the weather is usually under 80 degrees.

For me, at WDW, it's
1. Boat
2. Bus
3. Walking
4. Everything else

At DLR...
1. Walking (of course)

First impressions. Entrance into MK from BLT puts you behind so many people that took a bus.

It’s astonishingly humid and hot at 8am. Much hotter than last month.

I do not know how to rope drop. Best I’ve done after being in the park 30 minutes is get coffee.

I haven't rope dropped at all my adult life. I just can't do it. We typically make it to the parks around 10 or so. 😁 But we go in the winter so don't have insane heat to contend with. (WDW trips are only in Jan/Feb for us.)

The People Mover is my favorite ride at MK!
I read they are putting new windows on Main Street at DLR so I'm excited for those since some of the old ones have been broken for a while.

I'm really excited to hear what you think about the resorts!

This is making my dry, Utah climate self think we will have a hard time going in the summer :oops: I wish Disneyland still had the people mover! Sending those early check in vibes 🤞

Sad to say, but you might. I really struggle in humidity. It's just....stifling. Hard for me to breathe. And you just sweat buckets. It's like that where I live in the summer and I really can't be out in it for long. And it seems like shade doesn't offer much reprieve.

I definitely recommend getting to the parks early for a summer trip and then taking a break back at the hotel during the worst parts of the heat before returning in the evening. We even do this during non-summer trips and I honestly really like the break.

A little birdie told me it’s 20 degrees cooler in SLC Utah today. I can say it feel much hotter here in Orlando than what my phone says it is.

Thanks for the vibes!!

I love rope drop and early entry (not surprisingly coming from the UK… we are usually awake by 4am and ready to go!). Combine that with LLMP and everything is usually done by 3pm and back to the pool we go! Looking forward to hearing about what you think of the Poly, not stayed at the tower yet but my friend used some of my banked points earlier this month for a tower studio and was not impressed! 😬

Guys I am so hot. No not in a good way.

The good news as I am sitting in the monorail now I do not smell pee. But it’s not the water breeze the boats give that’s for sure.

We toured the Poly studio and 1 bed. Very much like VDH, that tiny dishwasher though 👌🏻 we also toured a bungalow and old school studio that had 2 baths.

I am having a love / not so love with poly. I actually love the location, I love the water. The lobby of the tower is gorgeous, GCH is pretty nice too. My problem is everything feels a bit faux. Faux leis at check in. Terribly cheap looking faux aged wood. My door loving husband was in awe of this spectacular door. It’s faux.. it’s not an actual door. Ha!!

I wouldn’t say the fauxness would stop me from buying. If it were a restricted resort that would be another story. That bungalow is pretty great but I can book those with sap right???

Yeah, I always felt like the Polynesian looked like a cheesy version of a real polynesian-like resort. But that's from me on the outside looking in as I've never stayed there.

Maybe you can have some pool time to cool down.

I hear you on this. Especially if you’ve been to Aulani. Also, the pool crowds and pool chair situation at the Poly make Aulani’s perceived “issues” pale in comparison.
