Resale points deposited but some are “in holding”

So, our points for a BC resale contract were finally deposited today but some of the points are in holding. Was there something that we missed when we signed the contract? Thanks!
 
Wonder if the owners had a reservation, then you bought the contract and they cancelled at the last minute in order to sell to you which caused the points to go into holding
 

Yes, the holding status should have been disclosed if these were points that were part of the contract.

If they are additional points due to a canceled trip that was to be taken before closing and that trip didn’t happen, then it could explain it.

I’d reach out to the title company and broker.

Good point. OP, check if the total points you have are more than the agreed-upon amount. If not, as another poster said, I think an adjustment should be made that treats the holding points as valueless.
 
They ended up being extra points that weren’t included in the contract. I just had a moment of panic when I saw it. Of course, we can’t fit them into any of our vacation plans bc of the 60 day restriction on new reservations and what we already have planned for the rest of the year.

I’m still looking at options and may try to rent them if we can’t find a place to squeeze them in, but it’s good to know that we got the points that we had purchased.
