Hello,
My wife and I are looking to buy a small resale(100-150 points) for OKW. I see postings on people getting deals at near low 40's per point. Can anyone direct to good spots to find a deal? We looked on TSS and Fidelity but all listings are far more per point. Is price that negotiable?

Thanks,
Scott

Yes price is negotiable talk to the brokers let them know what you are looking for and the price you want to pay. You may get a few no's from the sellers but there are motivated sellers out there so if you have the time keep at it! Good luck.

Yes, you can negotiate the price, and also negotiate who will pay the closing costs (it can also be a split between the buyer and the seller) and the maintenance fees.

*prices are negotiable, so don't generally take the listed price as "firm."

*smaller contracts sell for more per pt than larger ones. if someone buys a 300 pt contract in the 40s, that doesn't tell you whether you might be able to get a 100 pt contract for the same price.

*some sellers are desperate and some are not. some sellers are more knowledgeable than others. that can be a factor as well.

*some of the spectacular deals have been through fidelity. some of the worst stories of misrepresented contracts and frustrating delays have been related to fidelity. life is full of tradeoffs.

I would encourage you to look at this thread:

Here you will find the most recent contracts that have closed. A quick glance at OKW shows very little in the $40's; I see 2 total contracts under $50 in recent month. Most are within the $50-$60 range. Of course, if you are patient and willing to wait people out, you might get your price. Determine what you are willing to pay, and then go for it. A few dollars over the life of the deal is not a big issue. Also consider that if the contract is loaded with last years points, and you can get an extra trip out of it it might be worth an extra few bucks.

Good luck!
