Resale: Is closing date engraved stone? 🤷‍♀️

We received a closing date when our offer was accepted. Is this what it will be regardless of how quickly the documents seem to be processed?

No. They will close you sooner if the closing documents from the buyer and seller are returned sooner, the payment has been received (cash or financing), and the seller can close earlier (no pending trips, etc.)

Closing date can also be pushed back due to contract issues (ROFR waiting, divorces, etc.)

Unless it’s stated as a delayed closing on a specific date, it will close as soon as all the documents are in from Disney, the buyers and sellers.

Every contract I have done has been well before closing date. I wired the day sellers returned documents and it closed that day or the next. No one wants to keep this hanging around.

I did do a delayed closing and it literally closed that day. The sellers were ready with the notary that day and I wired that day, but there was an extra couple weeks built into the contract.
