Resale first, THEN add-on through Disney

I searched for this and came up empty:

I know the initial buy in through Disney is 160(ish) points. When you buy resale, there's no initial requirement for points. My question is, say I buy 100 points at OKW resale, will DVC still give me the add-on incentives if I turn around and buy 100 BLT points from Disney?

Yes as long as the incentive is still in effect when you want to purchase add-on and you add-on the number of points required to get it. Also an add-on will not have any closing costs/fees. Buying resale is a great way to get started in DVC and although you can buy in via resale with less than the initial minimum that Disney requires your membership will not be treated any differently.

Yes, that is exactly what I did. I bought a small resale contract, closed on 2/2 and then called Disney a week later to add on at BLT.

I started out with 100 and then changed my mind a few times. It took so long that by the time I decided, the new incentives were out and I ended up buying 130 points since I was getting them at $96.00 per point--just about the same it would have cost me for the original 115 I was considering!!

I also did this, because I knew I didn't want 160 points. I bought resale of 25 at OKW then added on at VGC for 125. The only thing I didn't get was a tote bag
