I've searched the forums for the answer to this question, but can't seem to find exactly what I need.

If we buy a resale contract with the same UY, but at a different resort, can they be the same membership no.? It seems like I remember that the answer is yes.

If so -- is this how I make sure that DVC "connects" the same contracts using the same membership no.:

1. Have title company use our names exactly as they appear in our original contract and

2. Have title company include our membership number

Anything else?

Is this right?

I am signing the paperwork for an add-on now!!!

Just want to be sure that we have one membership number, if possible.

Thanks!!

The answer is yes. We did exactly what you've said you are doing and have one membership number. Congratulations on the add on.

Thanks so much, HBC!!

As soon as the paperwork is signed, I'll post it in the ROFR threat for others who are keeping an eye on prices during all this craziness (b4 the March deadline).

We have 4 contracts with the same use year. Our second contract was not added to our master contract by Disney, even though they were the same use year and titled the exact same way. I was able to catch it with Disney, and they fixed it. With all of our other resale contracts, I wrote our membership number on top of our closing papers, so that Disney would see it and add the new contract to our same account. I have had no additional problems.

I've seen others post about doing the same thing -- one person said that wrote it really big, in red ink!!! Hopefully, that will get their attention ;)

Thanks for your help.
