If I buy 400 resale (non RIV) but buy 100 RIV direct from Disney, can I only use the 100 direct Disney for RIV or does it allow me to book all 500 at RIV?

Your non-RIV resale points cannot be used at RIV.

Just the 100. Resale points purchased now cannot be used at RIviera at all.
