When can I book a reservation for January through the disney website?

Rates have not been released for 2009 yet. If you call Disney they will give you a courtesy hold but the rates will not be guaranteed.

When should I expect these will be released?

I am DVC and I am missing one night for our vacation so I was planning to book that one on a cash basis just in case the WL does not come thru.

I've asked CRO that question a few times and the answers vary from August to "some time in September." Sorry I cant be more specific. If you really want the room, you can make the reservation now by phone and always cancel it later if it doesn't work out.
