I understand that if you rent points from a DVC member you are not allowed to call and confirm,change the reservation,etc,but is there a point at which you can call the actual resort and confirm you have a reservation? THANKS

Hi yes 10 days before arrival the reservation should be loaded in the system at the actual resort.

I called alittle earlier (15 days prior) and mine wa sin system already

karansue...I assume you mean confirm that you still have a reservation? Hopefully that wouldn't be the first confirmation of a reservation that you get.

As indicated you can call the resort a few days prior to arrival to confirm your reservation still exists. But technically the member could call any time after your call and cancel the reservation, so even that isn't bulletproof.

To confirm whether the reservation was ever made, that should happen way in advance shortly after the reservation was made by the member. You should have gotten a copy of the member's confirmation sheet that Disney sends to him/her. That will have the reservation details and is the best proof that the reservation was made. It won't keep an unscrupulous member from cancelling your reservation, but at least you will know that it was made in the first place.

Thanks for the replies.Yes I have a written confirmation already ,and also I rented from the same person last year and all went well,but I always like to call the day before my reservation to confirm,I am always paranoid something will happen with my reservation,Thanks again
