My suggestion would be that if you want to be near the HH/Main Pool, that you state this as a request, rather than asking for a specific building. The more flexability you allow in your requests, the more likely they are to be satisfied. Being near the main pool is probably the most asked for item. Keep in mind that OKW has 4 pools; I personally like being near one of the quiet pools, since they don't get as crowded as the main pool - and since none of the pools at OKW have anything really special about them (like a slide), I really see very little difference (with the exception that sometimes its nice to be close to the snack bar).
Buildings numbered 30 or higher have a second door into the master bath. If you have guests staying in the living room on the fold-out couch, this is sometimes very handy to have as they don't need to go thru the master bedroom to get to the bath.
You will get enough laundry soap for a single load of clothing. Sometimes the pervious guest doesn't use their allotment, so on occasion you might get 2 or 3 boxes (but I wouldn't count on it). Additional boxes are available for $1 each. Lots of people like to bring the laundry tablets in their luggage, since they travel so well.
The kitchen is fully equipped, and should have everything you need. Dishwashing soap (sink and dishwasher) is provided, but if for some reason you run out, housekeeping will refill for you (no charge). Likewise you should have enough TP and paper towles, but if more are needed, a call to housekeeping will take care of it.
Transportation seems to depend on who you talk to. I saw a recent report on this board that the buses at OKW weren't sufficient in the hours prior to the Magic Kingdom opening (other parks seemed to be ok). However, lots of people have also reported that the buses are fine.
We personally like to rent a car, since it gives us more flexability in getting around (grocery shopping, etc.) and it doesn't tie us to a bus schedule. Other people prefer to use just the buses and do fine as well.
