Requesting donations for our Silent Auction to benefit GKTW

Hi Everybody, Teresa and I would like to ask you to donate an item or two to the silent auction we will be having for Give Kids the World. The dates for the auction are July 23-25.

It can be anything but something that Disney fans would appreciate and would like to bid on. If you are unsure about an item you would like to donate just drop us an email. You can bring it to the auction but please let us know ahead of time you will be bringing something. If you would like to ship an item for the item please let us know and we will let you know where to ship it.

We are hoping to raise lots of money for Give Kids the World so your help is needed. It is deeply appreciated. You can contact Kathy kathyw@dreamsunlimitedtravel.com or Teresa techols@dreamsunlimitedtravel.com

Update- If you are bringing items to the auction, we will need a picture of each item. If it is a group of items we just need one picture of the group. Please send it to kathyw@dreamsunlimitedtravel.com. A picture from your phone is great!

Thanks Kathy and Teresa for organizing this. Val & I will be donating a framed set of the three prints that were given to AP holders during this year's Flower & Garden Festival.

Marci and I will definitely be donating some items. I'm not entirely sure what quite yet. The one I am sure of is one of my canvas drawings like the ones I've had at other meets. This one is of Judy and Nick from Zootopia. I may do another as well. Marci will probably sew a bag or blanket. And who knows what else we'll come up with?

Just emailed but if there is interest I am thinking of crocheting some little Disney amigurumi to send down. I just don't know if anyone would be interested in them enough to bid anything.

To save everyone the google Amigurumi are crochet dolls. They are usually baby versions of characters.

I know what they are and still have to google the word haha. Currently working on a Baymax now. It is becoming a self competition to see how many different ones I can make before I have to ship them down to Florida!

I Googled too. Those are fantastic. They would definitely sell well.

If you're flying, make sure any large amount of batteries or any other items you bring are not restricted. I know policies at airports can change abruptly, especially on lithium rechargeable batteries.

I have a couple of things I'd like to do for the auction...I just don't know if either is enough or the right kind of vibe.

1. I work with my mom on doing custom purse charms for Disney Dooney and Harveys bags. If you've ever followed the people in the various purse groups, you know that it's a popular thing...just not sure if it would appeal to enough people in attendance.

2. I take thousands of pics every trip and a select handful get turned into more "artsy" images. I was thinking of printing, matting, and framing one WDW one and DLR one. Again...not sure if it's interesting or unique enough.

Not sure if posting some sample pics would help.

I've been to plenty of DIS meets and I can tell you both of those items sound like they would be perfect. Remember, there will be over 500 Disney fans attending this auction. Surely there will be at least a few who are interested in your items. I say go for it.
