requesting an apaprtment?

I'm coming down Aug. 10th and I was wondering if you can request which apartment to be in. I heard some rumors about Vista Way and the others. If I can, how do I do it and how soon should it be done? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Usually you are asked your apartment size/complex preference at check-in, and they try to grant it. Nothing can be done until you check-in, though.
