Requesting a server at Palo..

No flames please. I'm not one to plan every detail of our cruise. In fact, I like to try new things and like surprises.

However, we had the most awesome server for dinner at Palo when we sailed in May 2004. Her name was Eleanora, and she was from Sweden. One would've thought we were her only table, and she kept bringing food to us! "Here, try this, it's delicious, etc.'

Has anyone had her as their server on recent cruises? If not, did you have someone who kept bringing food to you? As said, please no flames. Palo, however, is our favorite dining experience and I'll save my appetite all day to dine like that again.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

We had a favorite server that is in Palo - Sasha from Croatia. Believe me, if you leave his table hungry it is your own fault. He always brought his favorites and more.

We knew we wanted him again so late in the afternoon of the day we were going there for dinner I stopped by Palo and asked to be seated in his section. They changed our reservation by 30 minutes and that was fine by us - Sasha was worth the wait.

On the 9/18/04 Magic, my DH and I, along with another DIS couple, requested Anne Marie at Palo. She was our server for one dinner and two brunches that week.

We always have our favorite server. Just request him/her when you make your reservation. Or, if you make your reservation on line, which I haven't done yet, I'd suggest going to the reservation area when you board the ship and request the server. Or as the other poster said, you might have to wait or change your time, which to me, personally, would be worth it!!!

You can request a server at Palo, no problem. If they are there they will seat you in their area.

Pretty much all the servers bring you food like that..lol. Lot's of fun.

We were very lucky to have our favorite server spot us upon entering Palo. She changed the server assignment so that we could be at her table.

We had Kristoph I think, now I can't remember.

He also brought us things we would have never of asked for. For instance he brought over a berry something at dessert to go along with the soufle. It was amazing!

I've written down these names. It sounds as if MANY of the Palo servers bring extra food. We gave our server a very generous tip that evening. It was the best dining experienced we ever had!

We also had Florencia, in fact she took care of us for the brunch, for dinner and the tea. She was wonderful

Add Marcello to the list - we actually met him on our way to make our Palo reservations and have a pic of him and DH - before we even HAD the ressies and we certainly didn't know he was a server there! And then he ended up being our server, and he was wonderful.

He also brought the Panne Cotta (sp?) along with the souffle, and he was right - it was ALSO delicious! (yeah, yeah, two desserts each - but whattaya gonna do?)

Elenora (she had us call her Ellie) was our server at Palo on our 9/16/04 cruise. We had her for brunch and asked for her for our dinner reservation. She was awesome and I told DCL that in the questionaire we got after our cruise. I'm hoping she'll be there when we cruise in a month!

Our normal servers told us to make sure we asked for Marco, we didn't think of calling ahead, but asked when we showed up. Not at all a problem, they sat us in his section and we had a great time.

I'm sure this is some of the most valueable info I've received on these boards yet! I've written down every name so far. Hopefully, the maitre'd won't have any trouble if I present the list and ask, 'Oh, it possible for us to have any one of these servers?' LOL!
