request for seat by window at CRT?

We are eating at CRT (lunch) and would like a table by the window but was told I couldn't request it when I made the PS. I thought for sure I was able to make this request last time we were there. Anyone else been able to?

Haven't tried asking at time of making PS (not time yet, almost!), but I would just ask when you check in. You might have to wait until there's an empty table by a window, but if you really want it, then I'd ask.

you can't make a request at the time of making the PS...

you CAN ask for a window at the podium, but unless you are the first person to check in during a meal period, you might have to wait up to 45 min past your PS time....
