This is a silly question, but is the Castaway Club gift different on repositioning cruises than on other cruises?

In the past, sometimes yes. Currently it seems the gift is the same on all itineraries - the sling bag.

The Silver gift is a bag (currently the sling bag).
The Gold gift is the bag, plus (currently) luggage tags
The Platinum gift is the bag, luggage tags, and a choice of in-room gifts.
