Reports on new YHZ pre-clearance anyone?

Has anybody gone through the new-as-of-October US pre-clearance process at YHZ Halifax? I'm curious to know how it went. From the airport map, it looks as if we go to the opposite end of the terminal... near arrivals/baggage check... instead of the end where the Continental and Air Canada check in counters used to be, yes? Is the whole check-in process there, or do you have to check in at the opposite end of the terminal and then proceed to the pre-clearance area?

I'm not sure exactly where it is, but it's not far. My SIL went through during the first week of October when it just opened up and it was extremely quick and a lot less stressful than going through Toronto. We did Toronto via AC but they did Continental via Newark.. never going through Toronto again if we can help it!

She tagged her luggage with her ME tags in Halifax and didn't see them until we were in the villa (late, but nevertheless they arrived!). She said there was nary a lineup either way! Can't wait to try it! Good luck and say hi to the mouse for me. I miss him!
