Report on 10 day stay at Beach Club Villas

That's too bad about whoever gets that room. One of the things I look forward to each trip is the balcony. I would be more than a bit sad if the room had no balcony.

We are new dvc owners. We stayed at our home Saratoga once so far it was great. In October my DH family is comming down from NY I have booked a two bedroom at bcv. My father inlaw will love the pool. There will be six of us. I hope the room is not cramped it is there first visit. Now with all this talk about size, view, and distance Iam worried.:worried: :worried: :worried: :worried: :worried:

For every complaint about BCV, there are multiples of compliments. Don't worry, you'll have a great stay.

BCV has two elevator banks which is one plus over BWV. You can park close to the villas (another plus). It's not so noisy and you have access to SAB.

Have fun.

Well, I stand corrected on the 4 day/8 day thing. I could swear it was the other way round in prior stays.

ParrotBill, YOU are correct!! Trash and towel is day 4 and full cleaning day 8.

No, he is wrong and so are you. You get the full cleaning on day 4 and trash and towels on day 8. Why would they wait for 8 full days before they clean your villa? There are small signs in each villa telling you about the full cleaning on day 4 of a stay of 8 nights or more.

From Allears.net:

Will I be treated any differently when staying as a DVC member rather than a regular Walt Disney World resort guest?

The only major difference in your stay as a DVC member is that you will get housekeeping services less frequently. For stays of fewer than eight days, DVC members get a "trash and tidy" day on the fourth day of their stay. For stays of eight days or more, members get a full cleaning on Day 4 and a "trash and tidy" day on Day 8. Additional housekeeping services are available for a fee.

I couldn't find anything on the DVC website or I would have copied that.

I'm looking at my OKW reservation now. We check in on the 20th, full housekeeping service on the 23rd, and trash/towel on the 27th. Maybe the confusion is because the trash/towel date is (for some reason) listed BEFORE the full service date.

No no don't worry! In my original post you will see these things did not make the vacation bad, they just added up to a lower quality stay than we have experienced many times before at Boardwalk, WLV, and OKW. It's like rating my stay at BCV an 8 instead of a 9. The room is still spacious and comfortable... and the noise was noticeable but not obnoxious... and probably only an issue at the far wing where our room was... over the path from the bus & cars to the elevator. Have a good stay!

I share your love for the BWV. Thanks for reporting.
