I'm trying to get a post from the discussion forum to DVC rent/trade forum.
Since this is my first time using I need more help than previously thought.
I posted yesterday to wrong forum (discussion.) I attempted to repost to DVC rent/trade forum this morning but it does not appear. I know from reading that it may take up to 24 hrs to appear, but I have a reply in PM I can't respond to because I haven't enough posts to qualify for PM. I don't know if this reply is from the first or second post attempt. Any suggestions from anyone would be greatly appreciated. Baby steps please.

If the PM is from WebmasterDoc, CaskBill, or the DIS itself (maybe an automated acknowledgement?), it probably has something to do with the post on hold for the rent/trade board. If it is from a regular member, it is probably is a response to your first post.

Personally, I didn't know the PM system was restricted until you have a certain number of posts, but I believe you, and would assume it takes a fairly small number of posts to activate. So look around the DVC ad DIS boards, reply to some threads, and it should activate pretty soon.

Apparently 6-10 posts will do the trick to qualifing for PM privileges.
