Renting strollers at the Poly

Does anyone know if you can rent strollers at the Polynisian? If you are, can you bring them on the monorail and take them into the parks? I have heard that you can rent them at the Poly but would like to hear from someone on the boards that might of experienced this. Anyone know the cost? Thanks.

I've spent more time than I even wanted to at the Poly and do not recall ever seeing strollers for rent. The last time I was there they were selling umbrella strollers in the BouTiki gift shop for $35 or $40.

Buying one of those would probably be cheaper than renting in the parks.

Thanks for the quick reply. My Mom told me today that she reserved a stroller from the Poly for the three day we are there. That is the first I have heard of this too.

I have never heard of it at the Poly, but tikiman probably knows. He's a Poly expert and has a great website. If you search for Steve Seifert and tikiman, you'll likely get his website.

You could also try PMing him. He answered my questions.

I've not heard of this either. Perhaps the rental is from one of the outside companies that also rents wheelchairs and ECVs? If indeed you find that the resort does now rent strollers, please post the info here when you return. Would be good to know. Have fun!

I heard this on a podcast in January, but forgot to check while we were there at the Poly. The report was that you could do this at the deluxe resorts. By the way, it was not about renting the actual stroller at the resort (meaning you wouldn't GET the stroller there); it was about prepaying for the multi-day stroller so you would already have your coupons when you arrived at the park. I don't believe strollers at the resorts was ever discussed. After I got home, I e-mailed the Poly itinerary planning office and asked the question and they said they did not sell stroller rentals in their gift shops (this would have been in the early February timeframe).

I would really like to hear someone's actual experience.

I just found out that you can rent a double stroller from an outside company for $40.00 for three days. Does anyone know how they compare to the parks strollers?
