Renting question for 2005

Hi,

I have been thinking about 2005. I will be banking 44 points (2004) +210 (2005). Here is what I would like to do: Use points for a few days @ Vero after a cruise (7 or 4 nights) & see if I can rent the rest to use on the cruise. Here's my Question: When should/can I points that the points are for rent?? UY is Feburary can't bank until then @ the earliest. I also can't book vero until 7 months out. I want to go in Mid May. Any help is appreciated!!

Are you talking about You spending money to rent points from someone else and use those points for a cruise?

Usually, you can get a MUCH lower rate by paying cash for the cruise. Generally Disney values points in the $4-7 range.

Nope, I want to rent my points, whatever is left after I book Vero for after the cruise & paying cash for the cruise itself. Does that help?

Allison,

If I read your post correctly, you want to rent out:

44 points from your 2/2004 UY and
210 points from your 2/2005 UY

If that's correct, you could rent the 44 points now, and I believe that you could rent out your 2005 points for any trip that begins on 2/01/2004 or later, since you can borrow from your 2005 UY once your 2004 UY begins.

In rereading your post it looks to me like you want to bank the 44 points from '04 into '05. If that is the case, you can use those points for a ressie after 2/1/05. If you know how many points you will likely use for your own ressie, you can rent the rest of your '05 points out after 2/1/05. For that reason, I would not advertise them until later in 2004.
