I am thinking about renting points off the rent/trade board. Is this a wise idea, has anyone done this before to advise me. Thanks

I have rented points several times from different people each time, I've always had very good luck. We're actually renting points this December and we're staying at BCV.

this will be between you and that person.

if this bothers you don't do it.

Only rent DVC resort. There is no housekeeping included at the rental price.

it is a wonderful way to stay at one of the best resorts at WDW for little more money than a value or moderate.

OKW is a great choice (my favorite) you can rent points Sun-thurs for $80 a night and stay in a studio - 2 queen beds, wet bar, mircowave, under the counter refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker plus a balcony!!!!

for sept, oct, most of nov and dec, jan.

I have rented before and have a trip planned on rented points for Jan. I highly recommend this route, the accomodations are exceptional and the price is right. Each renter has different payment policies, but you should get the actual confirmation letter with reservation number on it from the member and you can check on the status of the reservation at any time if you feel anxious.

We stayed at OKW last time and it was wonderful, we are trying the villas at the Wilderness Lodge this time, but it is more costly.

Thank you all for the info, I think it would be a neat way to stay at one of these resorts. It is our first trip to WDW, two kids 9 & 12, I don't want a value, and want a nice place for down time. Won't be doing parks all day long. Any more tips or advice, I'd love it!

I have rented several times.
costs me around $200 per nite for 1BR with a full size kitchen w/d fridge, stove, etc. big jacuzzi tub in bathroom...huge king size br with pull out couch in living room

I love BWV and are partial to them. You can walk or boat to MGM or Epcot.
Such a pretty area and don't think there is a bad view from any villa.

I would stay there a month if I could

With your family, Farm Girl, I would seriously consider this one-bedroom. It's about double the cost of a studio (which is better than a regular hotel room), but it is ten times the accommodation.
