Renting Points?

I just read in another thread that it is possible to rent points from CRO? Is this true, and can anyone explain how this works? Thanks a bunch! inkbounc

When DVC members use points for non-DVC resorts or the cruise, those points are used to make cash reservations thru CRO.

CRO does not rent the points and won't really even mention points, but will be happy to make a cash reservation and, in effect, rent the points.

Come to think of it, that would be a great way to utilize the points used for other DVC programs- let DVC members "rent" them to use at DVC rresorts. Hmmmmm!!
