Renting Points to Non-DVCers

How many of you have rented your points to non DVC members?

If you have, was it easy to find a 'renter' once you decided to rent them?

Just wondering what kind of an ordeal it would be to rent out your points.

I can't tell you how it is to rent to non -DVC but I did rent some point recently. From my point of view, it was not too hard for the person I rented from. I emailed saying I was interested and when and where I wanted to stay, he emailed how many points and what price per point. We agreeed, he made the ressie in my name, I sent him payment, and then after he got the confirmation lettter he faxed me a copy.

That was all there was to it. and from looking at the rent board they seem to go quickly. I check the boards at least once a day and sometimes I would see a thread and the first message said the person was looking to rent points and later on there was another message saying they rented already! that happened several times.

It seemed so easy from the renter view, that after I close (week or two) that if I need to rent points, I don't see any problems getting them rented.

We rented some points recently. We did it on Ebay. There was a lot of interest and we ended up getting a good price for them as well.
