Renting points & linking them into on reservation??

Can I rent points from several different people for a one week stay at the same resort, same size room and then link it so we don't have to change rooms????

You are really not renting points, you are renting reservations. So you have to be careful that all the rooms are the exact same type (lockoff vs dedicated, views). There would also have to be cooperation between the owners, each would need to call to get theirs linked.

You can not link reservations from different accounts. You better find one member to do business with.

That's not correct. I have done it a couple of times with a friend who owns at BCV. I've booked some nights, she booked others and we linked them together into 1 seemless reservation. One time I booked night 1, she booked night 2 (Friday), then I booked nights 3 & 4 and we linked all 3 reservations.

It's not new, I think the 3 reservation link was 2 or 3 years ago. Unless it has changed since then. That was an OKW Studio, so there were no room variables (lockoff, view, etc).

This is the key - same exact thing. For example, it's not always easy to tell from your reservation than MS booked a lock off or a dedicated villa. You may have thought the reservations were for the same thing, but actually they were not.

Plus, OKW now does have booking categories - HH view or non HH view. So any ressies even for a studio would now have to be booked in the same category to link.

You got bad info. As noted, it does have to be the same unit type. Same is true for MS cash options linked to points stays as well. With some attn to detail this is not usually a big deal unless you're trying to get a difficult to reserve reservation. Not only view or booking category but dedicated vs a lockoff room also comes into play. It does essentially lock you out of the more difficult rooms.

You may have actually been told that. It's not uncommon for MS to give out wrong info.
