renting points here or using ebay

Am new to this and from the UK so please bear with me.

I've managed to work out where I want to stay (OKW and VB) in October this year and know how many points I need.

Has anyone else from the UK managed to do this using this board?

Also can anyone let me know if it is simply points for rent on E-bay - there are lots of 5night breaks at OKW on at the moment but I can't figure out if these are DVC owners

First, you need to let people know specifically what dates you plan to travel for both resorts. Then, you need to know what size accommodation you need, studio, one or two bedroom or a three bed room grand villa.

Keep in mind that Friday and Saturday are both higher point nights, so if your stay includes either as a "travel" day, you might be better off to stay off-site for the day of arrival/departure or at one of Dis' "value" resorts.

i would recommend renting from someone on this board. points are usually $8-10, and there is no guess work like ebay. also, i have noticed on ebay that they only offer sun-thur nights (less points). you might pay a little more to rent the points for fri and sat, but at least you wont have to change hotels or anything like that.

Glad to see you made it here (if you are the one from DVC101 mail list I sent these boards to?). You will find answers to your questions here about DVC and Disney ingeneral as well (in the other forums)

As to your question, I would rent the points from here. I had no problems doing so here, and really you can get a good price here without the hassles of eBay. Just a few emails between the interested parties and that's it.
