renting points for stay at Grand Californian

I'm a new DVC owner - living in California . . . I have enough points to stay 4 nights at Disneyland's Grand Californian Hotel in June, but we may want to stay 5. Could I rent the extra points needed (29)? Are people willing to rent a small number like that? How would the reservation be done since the 29 points is for one room (one night), and a small part of another room.

You could try for a transfer from another member. Or you might be able to get another member to make the reservation for you and try to link them. Linking them may be a problem since the reservation system at DL is not as technologically advanced as the one in WDW.

Or, could you borrow points from your next year? That would be the easiest.
