Hi: If a non owner rents points from an owner of a dvc resort, for example old key west. Is the renter hounded by sales people and expected to go to a sales pitch for a timeshare? Or are you left on your own during your vacation?

Deb.

Absolutely not! There will be a sales agent in the lobby, but you have to go to them, not the other way around.

DVC won't have any way of knowing you rented points from an owner. We have had family use our points numerous times and nobody calls to try and sell DVC to them. They don't have to hound to sell. DVC is different than any other timeshare.

Probably only way you might be invited to tour DVC would be if you stopped and talked to a guide at one of the DVC desks and expressed an interest to take a tour.
