Renting DVC points & UMP's

I have a question for all you wonderful DVC members. I am renting points from a member for my studio stay next April. We are staying at CBR for the 1st 3nights, then onto BWV's for the remaining 4 nites,(unless the wait list I am on comes through and we can stay ALL 7 nites at BWV's).
I will have an annual pass, but the two teens with me want to purchase Unlimited Magic Passes (as they want the water parks and Disney Quest)
My question is this: Seeing I am renting points can I purchase 7 day UMP's at CBR for the girls or do I have to purchase 3 day ones at CBR and then purchase them again for 4 more days, when I check into BWV's?
I hope you all understand my question. Sorry it's so long..but I am a little confused as what to do with the point thing! Thanks debbi

It is my understanding that you would need to buy two separate passes. I haven't encountered this myself, but I believe I remember someone else posting a similar question and this was the answer.

If you want to know for sure, you can call WDW and ask.

Also, I'm not sure if you know this or not, but I believe that technically when you are renting points you are not entitled to the discount for the UMPs. You may get it anyways, but I don't think that you are supposed to.

You will have to buy the UMP's at both of the resorts, since they are only good for your stay at a particular hotel. What you can do so you don't have to buy passes tiwce is buy 7 day hopper passes. They contain a certain number of features which can be used at the waterparks and disney quest.

If you buy two UMP, make sure they don't charge you twice for the same day. The will usually leave off the first or last day if you ask and sometimes will leave off both, but not always.
