Renting DVC points- can we still charge food/beverages to our room?

Hello everyone. We rented points to stay at BWV for March 2024. I'm wondering if we can use our room cards/magic bands to just charge meals in the parks (QS, SNACKS, TS) etc? Or will I need to use my cc each time? Would I set this up in MDE or at the front desk? We are not going to purchase the dining plan.

Hey there! When you rent the points, the renter should provide you with a Reservation Confirmation number.

Once you have that number you can manually add it into your MDE account and then treat it like any regular reservation (add a credit card there for charging/contact info/etc). As a DVC owner we haven't rented points, but shared them with friends and that is how all of our friends have done it to add their charging privileges.

DVC points reservations are like cash in the sense you put it into MDE, and then it acts like a regular reservation booked via Disney.

Your MB will work the same way!
