Renting DVC and thinking about purchasing dining plan...

Does the dining plan start the day you arrive and end the day you leave?
So if I check in on a Saturday I have full use of the dining plan and when I leave on the following Saturday will I still have dining plan points? If so seems like a waste on the day you leave since I will probably not be able to use all the alotted points that day.

Your credits are based on the number of nights the reservation is for. A Sat to Sat stay would give you credits for 7 nights. Your credits are valid from when you check-in until midnight on the day you check-out.

And you get all the credits at once as soon as you check in, so if you want to make sure you have credits to use on your check-out day, you need to plan your meals so as to have some available. If you don't want to have any remaining on your check out day, it's up to you to plan to use them all up before then.

Thanks for the replies. My concern is that I would have some left on check out day and planning on spending a day at sea world. Although, when I think about it I would just have to try and use them up which shouldn't be a problem since I am hoping to dine at CRT and could have breakfast and dinner back at WDW after sea world.
